One of the EuroChallenge's leading players one season ago, Ben Woodside, has returned to the competition after penning a deal with Armia.
The American guard, who averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 assists for Gravelines Dunkerque last season, began the 2011-12 campaign with Union Olimpija but recently parted ways with the Slovenian giants.
The 26-year-old averaged six points and 1.9 assists for the Ljubljana outfit in the Euroleague.
Armia have had a terrific EuroChallenge so far, winning three of four games in Group B.
They host Besiktas Milangaz this week.
Meanwhile, former EuroChallenge champions BG Göttingen, losers of four straight in Group B and bottom of the German league standings, have signed a pair of 26-year-old American guards, Matt Bauscher and Jerel Allen.
Bauscher spent the past three years with GasTerra Flames Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie while Allen has played previously in Lithuania and Ukraine.
Göttingen have no chance of advancing to the next stage of the EuroChallenge.
The Violets are away to ZZ Leiden on Wednesday.
