2009 Profile

Club Team 2008-09: REAL MADRID (Spain-ACB)
Career: DKV Joventut Badalona (Spain-ACB, 1997-2002), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2002-04), DKV Joventut Badalona (Spain-ACB, 2004-06), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2006-09), Bilbao Basket (Spain-ACB, 2009-..)

Alex Mumbru has spent his whole pro career in Badalona and Madrid, but now will start a new project in Bilbao Basket, where he has signed for the next three seasons. We are talking about a player who can do a bit of everything in the court, sharing 3 and 4 positions due to his height (2.02m) and skills, especially his long range shooting. A good rebounder and intense player, he has been a solid contributor in the national team in the extremely successful last three years: gold at the 2006 World Championship and silver at the 2007 EuroBasket and 2008 Olympic Games.
