The former FIBA Europe Young Women's Player of the Year is maturing slowly but surely into the role of leader of the national team. Her performance during qualification last summer when she averaged a double-double of 18.3 points and 11.5 rebounds signalled her becoming the main focal point. She first stepped out for her country during the 2006 FIBA World Championship Women aged just 17-years-old and recorded a highly impressive 10.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game at EuroBasket Women 2009 in Latvia. A huge physical presence under the basket with strength and advanced interior skills, she can be a real handful for most opposing defences who struggle to match up with her. She has played in EuroLeague Women regularly although last season, she played in Italy with Taranto and produced some solid numbers. She is becoming more clinical at the hoop and a force on the boards. Defensively she is a big asset since she is a capable shot blocker and it is an aspect of her game which is getting better with experience. She didn't quite hit the heights expected of her at club level in recent seasons, but at least Coach Paulauskas is getting the best out of her mentally and physically in national team colours.
