Athinaikos BC cruised into the Preliminary Round of EuroCup Women on Wednesday night with a convincing 87-58 victory over CAB Madeira in Byron.
Madeira stayed within reach early, outscoring their opponents 22-20 in the second quarter to trail by just eight at half-time, but Athinaikos pushed their advantage to double-digits in the third quarter and ran away with it in the fourth.
Nikole Beth Soulis led the way for the victors with 17 points while Latoya Davis chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.
The Greeks shot an impressive 67% on two-pointers for the game and hit just under half of the three-pointers they attempted.
Danielle Hood was the top scorer for CAB Madeira with 20 points and nine rebounds.
