Elan Chalon have had a pressure-packed season that has more times than not seen them prevail in big games.

The Semaine des As winners are second in the French league and they're among the quarter-finalists in the Coupe de France.

Chalon have also booked a place in the EuroChallenge Final Four, which is to be played in Debrecen, Hungary, at the end of April.

The club, looking to put together one of the best seasons in their history, suddenly found themselves enveloped in a crisis on Saturday when captain Steed Tchicamboud, a member of France's EuroBasket 2011 silver-medal winning side, got into an altercation with a teammate and after going to the bench, later refused to re-enter the game in the team's 109-99 upset at home to Nanterre.

Dominique Juillot, the club president, said: "I told him my great disappointment at this attitude - especially from one who said he plays in the club of his heart. He behaved like a destroyer."

Tchicamboud was expected to issue an apology on Tuesday.

Triumph Lyubertsy aren't showing any signs of dipping in form and that's very good news for the Russian club ahead of the EuroChallenge Final Four.

The team brushed aside hosts Enisey in their latest PBL (Russian league) game, 91-73.

Jerry Jefferson had 25 points and Tywain McKee 20 for Triumph, with Sergey Karasev and Kyle Landry pouring in 17 apiece.

Triumph take on Chalon in the Semi-Finals at the EuroChallenge Final Four.
