Triumph Lyubertsy won for the first time in the Last 16 and condemned Pinar Karsiyaka to their second narrow defeat at home in a row in the EuroChallenge.
The Russian outfit arrived in Turkey with no wins in three attempts in Group L of the EuroChallenge but surprised the Turkish club, 79-77.
Karsiyaka had fallen at home to Artland Dragons last week, 99-95.
Captain Artem Kuzyakin led the winners with 26 points and Kyle Landry, who has missed a lot of games through injury, played for the second straight week and had 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Dmitry Kulagin also underlined his importance to the team with 18 points and five assists.
Triumph opened up their biggest lead of the game midway through the third quarter when a Landry three-pointer made it 59-40.
Karsiyaka stormed back and only trailed 60-53 after Goran Ikonic made a three for the hosts.
The home side trailed 65-56 going to the last quarter.
Twice Karsiyaka reduced the arrears to three points and then with 21 seconds to play, a Mire Chatman lay-up cut the Triumph advantage to 76-75.
Karsiyaka fouled Kulagin and he made just one of two free-throws.
Ayhan Kentli was off target with a three-pointer for the Turkish club, though, and Triumph rebounded.
Kuzyakin then sank two free-throws before a Chatman lay-up left the visitors with a two-point victory.
