The Russian outfit won without their Serbian center on Tuesday, beating Deutsche Bank Skyliners 76-58 in Group H to improve to 3-2 while dropping the Germans to 2-3.

Triumph are now in the driving seat to qualify from the pool while Deutsche Bank's only hope of advancing as one of the top two sides is that all four teams finish with 3-3 records. Even then, their goal differential may not be good enough to progress.

Vadim Panin had 17 points and Ernest Bremer 16 for Triumph.

The contest was extremely close for three quarters.

A basket by Germany international point guard Pascal Roller cut the Triumph lead to 57-55 inside the final minute of the third period.

Bremer struck from long range to make it 60-55 with 10 minutes to go.

The home side carried the momentum into the final period with a lay-up from Ognjen Askrabic and a three-ball from Fedor Dmitriev for a 65-55 advantage.

They held Skyliners to a mere three points over the final 7:52 of the game and pulled away for a decisve win.
