Club Team 2012-13: Toulouse (France-LFB) Career: Lemminkainen Klaipeda (Lithuania-LMKL, 2007-12), Toulouse (France-LFB, 2012-13)
After some five years playing for her home club in Klaipeda and impressing at youth level for her country, last summer represented something of a breakthrough for Visgaudaite. She found herself cast in the role of starting playmaker in a number of games during qualification and managed to gain a contract to play in a very competitive French league with Toulouse. Essentially a point guard who shoots three-pointers, she does need to establish more consistency in her outside game, but nevertheless, is more than capable of posing big problems for opposing teams when she is on the court. She played a back up role with Toulouse and found points hard to come by during her first season outside of Lithuania, but has much more in her locker, including her defensive capabilities and organisational skills. Her tough apprenticeship in France which should make her tougher mentally whilst she also learned a whole new way of playing. |
