Twenty year old Gabriele Gutkauskaite now has two seasons of playing in EuroCup Women behind her with Lemminkainen Klaipeda and added to her experience representing Lithuania at youth level, looks ready to challenge for a place on the senior team roster. She also played at the FIBA U19 World Championship Women in Thailand a couple of years ago and has continued her development with a strong performance last summer at the U20 European Championship Women. Gutkauskaite is a guard who is not a prolific scorer although she will make pull up jump shots on a consistent basis. She brings lots of energy, quick hands and a hard-nosed approach to defence. Still very much evolving as a young player and time is on her side to hone her skills ready for an attempt at making it with the senior team. |
