Dominique Archie collected a double-double and two big three-pointers late as BC Timisoara knocked off Lami-Ved Körmend 75-65 at home in Group F action of the EuroChallenge.
Archie had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Romanian side while Ivan Jelenic had 18 points; Delvon Johnson added 14 points and nine rebounds; and Zlatko Jovanovic chipped in 13 points and five assists.
The Hungarian guests were paced by 18 points, 11 rebounds and four assists from Matthew Shaw with Zvonko Buljan adding 15 points and eight rebounds and Csaba Ferencz scoring 14 points.
Körmend led 16-10 early on the road but a 7-0 run gave Timisoara the lead 17-16 and it was 21-19 after one period.
The Romanians scored the first six points of the second quarter before Körmend fought back to within 31-29. But the hosts went into the locker room ahead 40-31.
The margin grew to 11 points at 46-35 and Johnson and Jelenic kept the guests at bay as they did not get closer than six points in the third quarter and a 10-2 late run had the cushion at 60-46 going into the fourth.
Körmend pulled it to nine points and after an unsportsmanlike foul on Jelenic, the guests trimmed it all the way to 62-58. But Archie knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to re-establish a 10-point lead, 68-58, and Körmend would not get closer than nine points the rest of the way.
