BC Kyiv finished on a sensational 22-4 run as they came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat EWE Baskets Oldenburg 64-54 in EuroChallenge Top 16 action on Tuesday night.
BC released six players last week but showed little sign of being a weakened team down the stretch.
The visitors had led, 50-42, following Ruben Boumtje Boumtje's jump-shot early in the fourth quarter.
But the BC Kyiv explosion was seconds away. It began with Maksym Pustozvonov's three-pointer, and they were level two minutes later on Oleg Saltovets' jump-shot.
Oldenburg were playing sloppy basketball, handing the hosts chance after chance as Rickey Paulding committed a couple of quick turnovers.
Milan Majstorovic went to the line to give them the lead back at 51-50 with 6:43 to go, but Vyacheslav Kravstov responded with a jump shot that sparked an 8-0 run, putting BC on top for good.
Jason Gardner gave the visitors hope with a three-pointer that cut the gap to four, 58-54, with 1:09 to go, but they were the last points Oldenburg would score as BC Kyiv got the last six points of the game - all from the free-throw line.
Manuchar Markoishvili played all but two minutes of the game and led BC with 16 points. Artur Drozdov finished with 15 and 13 rebounds, while Pustozvonov had 13 points and Kravstov 10.
Paulding and Majstorovic led Oldenburg with 11 points each, while Je'Kel Foster finihed with 10.
