Having led the team in scoring last summer during the Qualifying Round, Iva Sliskovic will get an opportunity to continue that good work at her first major tournament. Impressively mobile, and with quick hands for her size, she is a menace in the paint at both ends of the floor. While she can also play the four spot, she is generally utilised as the starting center for the team and is known for her moves in the low post and her intelligence on the court. She reads the game particularly well, which helps the team defensively and allows her to provide the odd assist from the paint. An important character for the team on court, Iva played big minutes in the Ronchetti Cup as an18-year-old for Croatia Zagreb way back in 2002. Since then she has enjoyed a college career, played the last three years in the Spanish league and finished last season with good numbers once again having put up a number of double-double performances.
