Laura Herrera was only 16 years old when she exploded onto the scene at Isla De Tenerife and averaged over 11 points and 6 rebounds per game in the second tier of Spanish basketball. Since that time, she has continued to develop and last year won her first silverware after winning the Copa Del Reina in her first season at Rivas Ecopolis. She also got to get a taste of the action for the first time in EuroLeague Women too and was really efficient in the limited court time she was handed. While some injuries slowed her down in recent seasons, she looks to be back to her best and is yet another of the 89 generation to make it to the Senior National team - or at least she will be if selected. With an aggressive approach and a busy style on court without the ball where she work tirelessly and unselfishly for her team-mates, Herrera has plenty to offer Spain at this level.
