Emmanouil Papamakarios

Career: Peristeri (Greece-HEBA A1, 1995-2004), Makedonikos Kozanis (Greece-HEBA A1, 2004-2005), Olympiacos (Greece-HEBA A1, 2005-…)

His story is similar to Pelekanos’. Grew up in Peristeri and although he doesn’t have a real basketball body, he managed with his passion and heart to became the star of the team. Low profile guy, gets… angry in the court where he plays great both in offense and defense. Although he is not a pure shooter, is a great worker and every year becomes better and better. Last year reached the ULEB Cup final with Makedonikos Kozanis (together with his mentor coach Argyris Pedoulakis) and late June he got transferred to Olympiacos, opening a new era in his career. He wasn’t in the preparation for the Olympics, but one year later he came back stronger and more mature.
