More than 7,000 fans watched Kayseri Kaskispor's game against Dynamo Kursk in the first leg of the EuroCup Women Final on Thursday, blowing away the attendance record for a single game in the competition.

The 7,200-strong crowd in the Kadir Has Arena has bettered the previous highest figure by over 2,000!

That also belonged to Kayseri and it was achieved in the semi-final against Botas a few weeks ago, when 5,000 helped them secure the win that earned them a place in last night's title game.

The all-time attendance record in a European women's club competition game belongs to Valencia.

In the 2010 EuroLeague Women Final Four, 7,800 spectators filled up the Pabellon Municipal Fuente de San Luis for the final two games of the competition.

But with ticket sales for the EuroLeague Women Final Eight in Istanbul at the end of this month going really well, Turkey might soon be able to surpass that number and celebrate yet another women's basketball record.
