Career: BC Czech coal Aldast Strakonice (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2004-06), UFK Nitra (Slovakia-Extraliga, 2006-09), USK Prague (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2009-11)
Edita Sujanova burst onto the scene back in 2007 when she found herself playing at EuroBasket Women despite no previous experience either for the senior National Team or playing in European club competition. However, her performances as one of the leading players in the Slovakian league and the promise she showed at youth level for the Czech Republic U20 Team was just too much to ignore and she found herself on the bench for the tournament in Italy. A year later she was at the Olympics, and while she missed out at EuroBasket 2009, she was back to grab a silver medal on home soil last summer. A hard working center, she will do a lot of things off the ball for the team and also utlise any minutes she is given to make her mark. |
