Izabela Piekarska played with Kasia Krezel during three years oversees in the University of Texas at El Paso. At the end of her studies she was drafted by the Sacramento Monarchs with the 40th pick in the 2008 WNBA draft, but she finally came back to Europe. During her years in the United States she showed great blocking and rebounding abilities, averaging almost 2.5 blocks and 6.5 boards per game. Her soft hands allow her to shoot with a high percentage from behind the line. Her big size could be very valuable this summer in Riga.
