Halvarsson Joins Gdynia; Anosike Back At Gorzow

Lotos Gdynia have signed promising young center Louice Halvarsson of Sweden.

The 1.89m pivot, who turns 21 on January 15, has joined from Spartak Moscow Region.

Halvarsson played for Sweden at the U20 European Championship last year and averaged 13.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

With the senior team, she played in EuroBasket Women Division B and averaged 12.9 points and 7.4 rebounds.

KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzow, meanwhile, have brought Nicky Anosike back to the club.

Anosike competed for the Polish outfit last year and earlier this season played in Romania for Municipal Targoviste.

With two more weeks of the EuroLeague Women Qualifying Round remaining, both Gdynia and Gorzow are trying to reach the Eighth-Final Play-offs.

Gorzow are 3-5 with Bourges Basket and MKB Euroleasing Sopron in Group C, fighting for the fourth qualifying spot.

Gdynia, Tarbes and Szeged are each 2-6 in Group D and also going for the last play-off spot.
