| Marine Johannès had 13 points for France|
France cruised to a sixth successive win to finish top of Group F at the U18 European Championship Women in Vinkovci after making light work of despatching Serbia with 63-52 victory.
The writing was on the wall for the Serbians as soon as they had decided not to play two of their key trio, in Aleksandra Crvendakic and Sanja Mandic and after crashing, they now head into the last eight seeking to avoid a third loss in a row.
Les Bleues fell 13-8 behind, but a punishing 16-2 burst across either side of the first and second quarter break set the tone for the remainder of the game.
Having jumped firmly into the box-seat, they never looked back, firstly holding their opponents to just nine points in the second period and then picking up where they left off when they took to the court after the break.
Without Crvendakic to contend with, the French were able to out-muscle Serbia inside and in the end, picked up a comfortable win as Serbia struggled to make an impact from the three-point line either.
Marine Johannes chipped in from downtown as usual for France with a trio of triples in a 13-point haul.
Julijana Vojinovic and Anja Spasojevic combined for 24 points for Serbia.
