France used a big second half to defeat Serbia, 74-51, and remain unbeaten at the Global Vision U18 European Championship.

Both teams went head to head in the first half in a tight battle. But Olivia Epoupa's lay-up, right before the halftime buzzer, to make it 33-28, was like a signal for what followed after the break.

France took control of the game and they built, step by step, basket by basket, a comfortable lead.

After entering the final period with a 13-point advantage, the French team outscored Serbia 13-3, in the last 05:00, to end the game in style.

Their shots were falling from all over the court, their defense was working on all cylinders and they showed they are ready for the final clash of the Qualifying Round, with Belgium.

This duel, to be played on Wednesday, will establish the winner of Group F.

The French bench had a great contribution to the game, totaling 45 points, while the Serbian reserve players brought in the game only 15 of their own.

Coming from the bench for the French team, Margaux Galliou was one rebound shy from a double-double and finished with 10 points and nine boards. Alice Nayo added 15 points, to lead all scorers of the game.

Aleksandra Stanacev was the best scorer in a losing effort with 13 points, while Natasa Kovacevic contributed with 11.

Serbia completely lost the battle under the basket, on both sides of the court. France finished with 48 rebounds (24 offensive), beside only 22 (4 offensive) from the losing side.
