By Cindy Garcia-BennettTournament hosts Serbia stormed to a convincing 91-76 victory over Belarus at the UMCOR U18 European Championship for Women.
The terrific trio of Jelena Milovanovic, Nina Bogicevic and last season's tournament MVP Sonja Petrovic spirited them to victory.
Milovanovic erupted for 24 points, Bogicevic poured in 18 while also corralling 11 rebounds
for the Serbians and Petrovic added 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Back-to-back three-balls from Mina Jovanovic and Milovanovic put Serbia into the the lead for good at 16-11 midway through the first quarter.
Belarus stayed within striking distance with Aliaksandra Zubrytskaya taking her first-half points haul to nine with a jumper to make it 43-35.
A Bogicevic three-point play gave Serbia a 50-38 lead at half-time, and then a 10-0 run early in the fourth quarter put away plucky Belarus.
"For us it was important to get off to a good start," said Milovanovic.
"We need to get as many points as possible in the group stages so we hope that we can play like this in the future.
"I am happy with my performance tonight but it was a team effort."
Sweden put up a brave fight but eventually lost to Poland, 69-61.
Oliwia Tomiakowicz and Agnieszka Skobel scored 14 points apiece.
