Serbia Reveal U18 Squad

28 June 2007

Serbia women's basketball coach Zoran Kovacichas announced the list of players that will represent the host nation at the UMCOR U18 European Championship.

The tournament begins on Friday, and Serbia will contest Group C along with Belarus, Poland and Sweden.

Kovacic said: "When the moment came for the final decision, it was tough to pick just 12 players from our group that have trained so well.

"In the end it was just some details that decided who'll play and who had to be removed from the list.

"It's tough for every coach, but it's part of our job.

"One of the criteria was the players' versatility, their ability to play in different positions in the team.

"As we are hosts of this event, all of us know what is expected.

"We'll do our best, and then see what the result will be."

Serbia squad: Jovana Popovic, Sonja Petrovic, Nevena Jovanovic, Tatjana Zivanovic, Nina Bogicevic, Jelena Milovanovic, Jelena Jovanovic, Jelena Mitic, Milica Paligoric, Sara Krnjic, Ivana Musovic, Mina Jovanovic.
