Nemanja Bjelica fell in love with basketball at the age of seven. That year, Bjelica and his father were among the crowd in Belgrade to welcome home gold medallists Yugoslavia from the 1995 European Championship in Athens. Ever since, the versatile forward dreamed of making the national team himself, with it finally coming true in 2009, when it was him and his teammates being celebrated in the Serbian capital for their surprise EuroBasket silver medal. Standing at 2.09m, equipped with a soft shooting touch, good ball handles and a good understanding of the game, Nemanja Bjelica gives Serbia an invaluable depth on both ends of the floor. After three seasons with Laboral Kutxa, Bjelica will continue his career at Fenerbahce Ulker, looking to further improve under the wings of legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic.
