Milos Teodosic - EuroBasket 2011 Profile

Team 2010-11: Olympiacos (Greece-ESAKE)

Career: Zeleznik Workers (Serbia-B, 2003-04), Zeleznik Belgrade (Serbia-Superleague, 2004-05), Borac Cacak (Serbia-Superleague, 2005-06), Zeleznik Belgrade (Serbia-BLS, 2006-07), Olympiacos (Greece-ESAKE, 2007-11)

Milos Teodosic has exploded into a genuine European star for club and country during the last two years and it was EuroBasket 2009 which truly catapulted him to the status he enjoys now. He provides Serbia with that little extra spark of brilliance and his presence on the court spells out danger for the opposing team in the biggest and brightest letters imaginable. He is the type of gutsy and skilled playmaker who you can never write off. He can drill home a shot from most positions and his passing game is a different level to most of his backcourt peers. Like all top level elite players, the critical factor which Teodosic now brings is that he delivers exactly when it is needed most. When his team is down in crunch time and someone needs to execute a play, the ball will inevitably start and maybe even end with him. A real sniper with a deadly shot and nerves of steel, it's no co-incidence that the recent rise back to prominence of Serbia has coincided with the buoyant form of Teodosic. The biggest bonus for his team-mates and the fans is that he is still only 24 and is only going to get better with age and that is a worrying thought for his opponents and especially those tasked with stopping him in his tracks - a near impossible task. He will inevitably be a shining light once again and the centrepiece of this vibrant Serbian team. Everything good about Serbia will probably be channelled through him and if he gets anywhere near the level he has shown at his last two major tournaments, he will be a joy to watch once more and a potential MVP.
