It proved to be an amazing debut summer of action at the senior level for Jovanovic last year after she was handed an opportunity and grabbed it with both hands by producing some pivotal cameos to help Serbia advance. She shot the ball with deadly accuracy from long-range and finished as the third best three-point shooter in the competition, making 48% from downtown. She is still maturing as a player and should have done enough in 22 minutes-per-game to persuade Coach Maljkovic to retain faith and hand her a spot again. She has been an integral part of the all-conquering Partizan team during the club season, making it quite a special 12 months or so. The acid test for the 22-year-old will be to see how she deals with the fact she will now be high up on opposing scouting reports and the potential additional defensive attention this might bring if she wants to continue as a sniper from distance. Not that she is only a perimeter player, she will also hustle and take care of the ball.
