Jovana Rad - EuroBasket Women 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Tarbes GB (France-LFB)

Career: Spartak Subotica (Serbia-1ZLS, 2005-08), Hondarribia-Irun (Spain-LF, 2008-11), UNB Obenasa (Spain-LF, 2011-12), Tarbes GB (France-LFB, 2012-13)

Another  player who didn't participate in qualifying last year, the temptation to utilise Rad will be strong for Coach Maljkovic, since she has enjoyed an impressive first season at Tarbes, who have inked her for a second campaign. She therefore looks likely to return to French soil wearing a Serbian vest before returning to her club at the end of the summer - especially if she can recapture the same kind of form she showed both in the French League and also EuroCup Women. Rad is skilled in most aspects of the game, able to score inside as well as pose a danger from behind the arc. She can rebound proficiently and also uses her body well defensively, which is one of the best aspects of her game. The forward has posted strong performances at the World University Games in the past for her country and whilst only making modest contributions in qualifying for both EuroBasket Women 2009 and 2011, the way she has matured and improved in recent seasons means she is likely to be able to be more productive and influential this time.
