Playing beyond his years, Nikola Ivanovic has shown that age is not necessarily an indicator of sense of responsibility. The then 18-year-old marked last summer's Qualification Round with one of the biggest plays, nailing a game-winning three from half-court to down Serbia and silence Belgrade Arena, sending shockwaves through the Balkans. Growing up in the youth teams of KK Mornar Bar, Ivanovic made his senior debut with the club during the 2010-11 season, before joining Montenegro's serial champions Buducnost Podgorica, where he has racked up constant minutes in both the Adriatic League and the Eurocup. Increasing his role over the years, the youngster has been a reliable option, finding a good mix between passing and scoring, driving to the lane and outside shooting, deservedly earning himself a spot on the senior national team.
