With the forfeit of Nikola Pekovic, the door is wide open for new big men to seize their chance. Filip Barovic fits this bill perfectly and can realistically expect to get the stamp of approval from Coach Pavicevic, having seen decent minutes in the team's early preparation games. The 23-year-old has already put on a Montenegro vest at U18 and U20 level, featuring in three European Championships between 2007 and 2009. Hailing from his home club KK Niksic, Barovic joined Buducnost Podgorica in 2009, stepping out in the Euroleague for the first time. This past season was Barovic's first abroad, with the big man opting for Hungarian side Sopron, where he played a major role - in 32 minutes on the floor, the youngster produced 17.2 points and 8.4 rebounds-a-night while converting around the basket with high accuracy (58.6% field goal conversion rate from two-point range).
