Now the aim of the reigning Austrian champions is to finish the Turks off when the second leg of the Eurocup Qualifying Round tie is played next week in Istanbul.

"We are now in the middle of the qualification," Wels coach Raoul Korner said.

"We lead by five points and no more.

"Today we have seen with the Turks that it is very difficult if one does not make the easy baskets but on the other hand, we have a very good squad.

"Of course, we go to Turkey in order to win, but there is no pressure on us. "

Wels received a couple of very impressive performances on Tuesday night.

Jason Conley poured in 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Davor Lamesic finished with 12 points and 10 boards.
