Ukraine international Olexandra Gorbunova has left Halcon Avenida and returned to her native Ukraine to play for EuroCup Women outfit BC Dnipro.
The 23-year-old small forward, a former EuroLeague Women All-Star with MKB Euroleasing Sopron, moved to CSKA Moscow for the 2008-09 campaign but floundered and averaged just 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds.
She appeared to find new life in Spain this season, playing more than 18 minutes per game in the EuroLeague Women and averaging 8.4 points and 2.9 rebounds.
On December 9, she scored the winning basket at the buzzer to give Avenida very important 81-79 victory over Gospic Croatia.
She was unhappy, however, and jumped at the chance to leave Salamanca for Ukraine.
Dnipro general manager Oleksiy Vasylyev on Tuesday confirmed her arrival, saying: "We have signed a contract with Gorbunova until the end of the season.
"On Thursday, she will play in the EuroCup and on Sunday will play her first domestic league game.
"We were looking for someone to strengthen the team and found a great solution."
Avenida, meanwhile, haven't missed a beat and have swooped for Lotos Gdynia's Poland forward international Emilija Podrug.
Podrug has averaged 6.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in just under 21 minutes per game in the EuroLeague Women.
