PEAC-Pecs suffered home-floor agony in EuroCup Women Group F after being pipped 62-60 in a pulsating and dramatic defeat to Nantes Reze.

The game was left hanging in the balance when Maurita Reid tied the game up for the hosts with just eight seconds left on the game clock.

But, Nantes found themselves on the line after the subsequent time-out and Cayla Francis calmly sunk the two free-throws which sealed victory.

Sarah Michel contributed 23 points for Nantes before fouling out, as the French side shrugged off the blow to take a third win in four games.

In Group B, some sharp long-distance shooting from Damla Gezgin and a sparkling double-double from Ashley Paris catapulted Mersin Buyuksehir Bld to a 91-62 blowout of Dunav 8806 Ruse.

Gezgin drained four of six triples and Paris claimed 16 points and 12 rebounds from six of seven floor shooting as the hosts dominated. Indeed twin sister Courtney Paris also registered a double-double for the winning team with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Jaklin Zlatanova had 15 points for the Bulgarians, whose search for an elusive first EuroCup Women victory continues.

Nilay Kartaltepe (Istanbul Universitesi)

Istanbul Universitesi had little trouble in preserving their perfect record in Group D, as they strolled to a fourth win of the season, courtesy of a 90-71 demolition of visiting Spartak Noginsk.

The Russian visitors were swamped by their hosts and trailed by as many as 32 points in a one-sided contest, before a late surge eventually reduced the arrears.

Tugba Palazoglu typically set the tone at both ends of the court with 16 points, five assists and four steals, whilst team-mate Mehtap Karabilecen had a near-perfect shooting night with a nice cameo of 10 points.

Taisiia Bovykina was impressive despite being on the losing team with 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Adana Botas completed a Group A win-double against domestic rivals Homend Antakya after cruising to a 68-50 home court success.

They did so with some sterling defensive work and by also capitalising on the absence of Antakya offensive danger Evanthia Maltsi, who did not suit up for the visiting team.

Teenage rising star Pelin Bigic continued to enhance her burgeoning reputation with another fine effort of 13 points, five rebounds and four assists, whilst Aneika Henry plundered 14 points and 11 rebounds for Antakya.
