Chantelle Handy

Chantelle Handy continued to show glimpses of the effective player she can be last summer, although she did only play a bit-part role with an average of 9 minutes per game during the Qualifying Round. Handy was part of the Great Britain team at the World University Games, where she averaged 11 points and 7.6 rebounds across seven games - an indication of the bright future she could carve out for herself as she is still developing her game. With good size for a guard and the versatility to play as a forward too, she is a tenacious character with a smooth jump shot and the ability to play well with her back to the basket. The 1.91m small forward needs to show it a little more in games but her athleticism and potential work in her favour and will be a great option to bring energy off the bench. She red-shirted at college and comes into the summer having just completed an impressive rookie pro-season in Greece with Aris where she also played in EuroCup Women. She's got good size and great mobility and could be a real factor on the wings for Team GB.
