Vertical Vision Cantu lost 101-89 at Carpisa Napoli in the Lega A on Saturday night despite 25 points and eight rebounds from center Kebu Stewart.

Cantu, who were convincing winners over Dynamo Moscow Region in a midweek EuroCup game, lost in Naples as Carpisa made 12 of 23 shots from behind the arc.

High-scoring American Lynn Greer led the home side with 24 points while Ansu Sesay contributed 22 in a winning effort.

Carpisa took a 24-20 lead by the end of the first quarter and extended that to 48-33 by half-time.

The hosts stretched their lead further to 78-58 after the third quarter and although Cantu battled on, they went down to a 12-point defeat.

Cantu are 13th in Italy with six wins and 10 defeats.

The Italian outfit will now turn their attention to Europe because on Tuesday they take on Greek side Maroussi Honda at home.
