Just like his father, who is a legend of the game in the Netherlands, Kees Akerboom Jr. has shown great loyalty to both club and country. Suiting up for the Orange Lions in several Division A and B campaigns since 2004; the shooter missed the 2014 qualification, but is now back with a hunger for more. Coming off a title-winning campaign domestically with Den Bosch, the 31-year old shows no signs of age. He takes more shots from outside than inside the three-point arc and torches opponents with 42.5% accuracy from down-town which means you can never leave him open. He thus addresses one of the side's weaknesses last year, when the Dutch struggled to make shots from outside. His experience and dedication will be a big plus for coach van Helfteren.
