EiffelTowers Den Bosch took control of second place in EuroChallenge Top 16 Group I with a 67-58 win over Belgacom Liege Basket on Tuesday night.
Taron Downey led with way with 18 points - 15 of them from nine three-point attempts - while Lawrence Abney came up big at both ends with 10 points and 16 rebounds in the win.
In a game that was close most of the way, Den Bosch took the lead, 53-52, on Downey's three-pointer with 5:21 left to go and did not look back as they outscored the visitors 15-6 over the final five minutes.
Anthony Richardson punished a Christopher Hill turnover with an emphatic dunk to continue the run, before a three-pointer from Kees Akerboom and a lay-up from Richardson finished Liege off.
Richardson finished with 13 points while Akerboom made four of seven from three-point range to account for all 12 of his.
Larry Owens led three Liege players scoring in double figures as Hill collected 15 and Justin Cage 13.
The win leaves Den Bosch alone at 2-2 in Group I, moving above Telekom Baskets Bonn who lost 71-54 to group leaders Cholet Basket to join Liege at 1-3.
