|Gustavo Ayon has found his groove for Fuenlabrada both in EuroChallenge and the Liga Endesa|
As it turns out, he's one of the main men to watch in Spain's Liga Endesa.
The Mexico international has been named as the Player of the Month for November in Spain's top flight.
That honor was assured when he poured in 34 points and corralled 11 rebounds in a 99-97 upset of Cajasol Banca Civica at the Palacio Municipal Deportes San Pablo at the weekend.
There were 5,300 fans to watch Ayon put on arguably his best-ever performance for the club.
The result lifted Fuenlabrada to eighth in the standings at 5-4.
"The truth is that this designation has surprised me," he said.
"I had no idea of the sum of my numbers during this month, but I'm very happy, especially since the team has achieved positive results at this time after the bad start we had."
Ayon was slowed by a shoulder injury at the beginning of the season and it's something that he still worries about.
"I'm very happy, but not yet at my best because I'm still bothered by a shoulder problem," he said.
Artland win again
The Artland Dragons continue to pile up the wins.
Their 94-74 triumph over BBC Bayreuth was a seventh consecutive win in November.
If they prevail at home against Keravnos on Tuesday, the team will complete a perfect month.
Anthony King had 19 points for the Dragons in their latest win that has left them fourth in the BEKO BBL but just one game behind leaders Brose Baskets.
Williams, who had 50 points in a 105-94 win over BG Göttingen last week in the EuroChallenge, had 15 points in his final game for the team.
Pinar Karsiyaka nearly sprung an upset but fell at Anadolou Efes, 79-74.
|Marcus Arnold and BK Pardubice travel to Roanne in an important Group C clash on Tuesday night|
Abdul Aminu was sensational for Chalon, pouring in 24 points.
Pau-Lacq-Orthez have been in bad form this season in both France and the EuroChallenge.
They fell at Dijon, 91-86, at the weekend.
The latter rolled to a 100-64 victory at BK Loko Interconex Pilsen while Pardubice clinched an 88-75 victory at Astrum Levice.
The mood is not good in the BC Nizhny Novgorod camp after their 80-69 home setback to Astana in the VTB United League.
The team is hoping to bounce back with a victory over Atomeromu on Tuesday.
"After two recent defeats in which we lost the first half, I expect my players to react to this situation and I hope that we can prevent it in the next game," said coach Zoran Lukic.
"To win this encounter, we need to be ready to play from the start."
Both BC NN and Atomeromu have 1-2 records in EuroChallenge Group D.
