Once dubbed as the ‘Belarusian Taurasi' by former Russian coach Igor Grudin, Syntsina has struggled to live up to that top billing, mainly because of persistent injury problems which meant only two games in qualification. However, she's almost impossible to stop if she catches fire and is the one true difference-maker on this team. She loves to shoot the ball and arrives off the back of one of her strongest club seasons for several years. She has averaged 14.6 points-per-game in EuroCup Women for Chevakata and has been just as strong in the Russian Premier League. She can provide the spark for Belarus and produce something magical with ball in hand. Keeping her healthy and hoping she finds good rhythm from three-point range will be vital. She makes mid-range shots, slashes to the hoop and could now thrive defensively under the watchful eye of Andrei Valev, her first coach who is now assistant to Grigas.
