USO Basket had no chance of reaching the eighth-finals of the EuroLeague Women but at least they exited the competition in impressive fashion by defeating Germano Zama Faenza 84-68 on Wednesday.

The French team improved to 3-7 but finished fifth in Group D, one place outside the play-off places, with TEO Vilnius (3-7) beating them to the vital fourth position on a tie-breaker.

Jennifer Digbeu, the sister of former France international Alain Digbeu, paced Mondeville with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

"We played a complete game tonight, and played seriously on offense," said winning coach Olivier Hirsch.

"We are rewarded, even if we are not able to go to the next round."

The home side led 31-20 at the end of the opening quarter and opened up an 18-point lead with 3:31 to go in the first half on a basket from Lenae Williams, Mondeville's leading scorer in the EuroLeague at 14.5 points per game.

The Italian team closed the gap to nine points in the third quarter, but got no closer the rest of the way.

Germano Zama Faenza ended their season with a 2-8 record.
