Ognjen Askrabic is the last person one thinks of when discussing Serbian big men. True, at 205 cm, he is not a classical center, but his enormous wingspan makes up for his lack of centimeters. The 28-year-old plays above the rim, is a tremendous finisher, has a soft touch even from three and is an above average passer. On the downside, he is not a great defender or rebounder. Nevertheless, Askrabic was one of Serbia’s key players at the World Championship in Japan last summer and his injury sealed Serbia’s fate in the second stage of the tournament. The Serbs need him to be healthy in Spain and to be an offensive factor in the paint.
