|Nevriye Yilmaz only missed out on the title because of her teammate's perfomance|
Fenerbahce started their most ambitious season ever in EuroLeague Women with a big away win at Rivas Ecopolis in Madrid, thanks largely to a huge performance by Penny Taylor.
The 1.83m Australian forward was the EuroLeague Women Player of the Week, with an impressive efficiency rating of 37 in 35 minutes of play. She contributed 27 points with excellent percentages, 7 for 10 2-point shots and 4 for 5 from outside the three-point line.
The 29-year-old added 7 defensive rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists to conclude a dreamy season debut.
Even if Taylor had not put on such a magnificent display on Thursday, the Player of the Week title would have still finished in the hands of a Fenerbahce player, as her brilliant performance was followed closely by that of teammate Nevriye Yilmaz.
The Turkey international reached an efficiency rating of 33, posting 26 points (12 for 18 from the field) and 10 rebounds.
Ausra Bimbaite, the Latvia international who led VICI Aistes to the surprise triumph over champions Sparta&K on Tuesday was third in the efficiency index table, with a rating of 30.
