Galil Elyon needed double overtime but finally defeated Petakh Tikva to join holders Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bnei Hasharon and Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli National Cup semi-finals.
Galil, who played in the EuroCup this season, trailed the National League side Petakh Tikva by 14 points after the first leg and things did not look good several days before the return leg when Lior Eliyahu was ruled out of action from four to six weeks with a broken hand. |
