Career: INSEP (France Div. 3, 1989-90), Pau-Orthez (France-Pro A, 1990-…).
A fighter. A short, not so quick and not so good leaper point guard but who gives 120% at all times. Excellent 3-point shooter with great experience at Euroleague level (13 seasons played in the top European club competition), but always as a substitute. Fred is also a hard nosed defensive player that will never give up on anybody. Has 7 to 8 meters shooting range but is not a very creative playmaker. Very often in National team pre-selections but rarely makes the final cut. Claude Bergeaud appreciates him and knows he’ll always be a great addition in terms of team spirit and a motivator for his teammates. With France having to face a lot of zone defense because of Tony Parker’s penetrating skills, Fauthoux has a good chance to be in Belgrade. |
