| 03.12.2008 ESB Lille Metropole beat MKB Euroleasing Sopron on Wednesday for their second victory this season in the EuroLeague Women to keep their faint hopes of reaching the play-offs alive.
Abdou N'dyaye's team got 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds from Ljubica Drljaca and won 61-55 over the Hungarians to improve to 2-6 in Group B. Geraldine Robert had 17 to lead the French team while Jelena Milovanovic scored 16 for MKB (4-4). The three-point shooting statistics were probably the most telling in the game. MKB missed all 10 of their attempts from behind the arc while Lille Metropole were seven of 17 (41.2%). Jolene Anderson scored all nine of her points from behind the arc, hitting three of six. One of those was a go-ahead three with 2:16 left in the contest to snap a 53-53 tie. Brazilian Iziane followed with a three for Lille Metropole before Drljaca nailed a jumper for an eight-point advantage. Milovanovic's lay-up inside the last minute accounted for the final score. |
