A basket by Russian national team player Liudmila Sapova with just three seconds remaining handed Chevakata Vologda a thrilling 56-54 victory at Norrkoping Dolphins.

The Swedish hosts had been in control of their Group B clash, but the Russian visitors exploded in the last quarter with 21 points, as the later intervention of Sapova clinched a hard-fought victory.

And, it was fitting the wing player hit the winning shot since she had a creditable 17 points, five rebounds and five assists as Elisabeth Egnell poured in 20 points for the disappointed home side.

Pinkk Pecsi 424 were searching for a third successive victory when they hosted Tarbes GB, but ended up crashing 70-53 as the French side completed a Group G win double against their opponents.

Tarbes had five players in double-digits with Joyce Cousseins contributing 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Tijana Ajdukovic had 13 points in defeat.

Also in Group G, MBK Ruzomberok gained revenge for their opening day loss to Wallonia Basket as they boosted their chances of progressing to the next phase with a 79-55 victory.

The home side were red-hot from downtown with Dominika Baburova and Eva Kmetova combining for a perfect seven-of-seven from the perimeter.

Kmetova finished with 20 points as the Slovak Republic side blew Wallonia away with a 28-7 third quarter. Celeste Trahan had a mammoth 26 points and 13 rebounds for the losing team.

TSV Wasserburg returned to winning ways in Group E, but had to work hard to take a 67-62 victory against Lotto Young Cats, having soared into a commanding 23-12 first-quarter lead against their Belgian rivals.

They survived a late scare and Emma Cannon recorded a huge 22 points and 14 rebounds to help seal the win, with Sara Leemans contributing 21 points for the Cats.

Villeneuve D'Ascq bounced back from being routed at home to PEAC-Pecs in their previous Group F game by strolling past Namur 73-53 to condemn the Belgians to a fourth straight loss.

It was a strong team performance by the French title hopefuls, with Johanne Gomis adding an efficient 15 points and Laetitia Kamba doing the hard work on the glass with 11 boards.
