Barcelona coach Carme Lluveras believes her side's convincing 95-56 win over MBK Ruzomberok will mark a defining moment in their bid to reach the next phase of the FIBA Euro League.
The Catalan side dominated from the start and an explosive third quarter from Michelle Hendry, who scored 15 points, gave Barca a commanding 79-50 lead.
New signing Adrian Williams was also in impressive form with the former WNBA star contributing 18 points and collecting 13 rebounds in the game.
"The win is a great step forward to us qualifying for the next stage," said Lluveras.
Barcelona are second in Group A, with the same points tally as leaders UMMC Ekaterinburg and four rounds of matches still to be played.
The triumph also helps Barcelona recover from their disappointments in last weekend's Copa de la Reina defeat.
Barca had high hopes of beating defending champions Ros Casares, only for the side from Valencia to leave them by the wayside in the semi-finals on their way to a third consecutive victory.
