Sasa Obradovic could not be any happier with the way RheinEnergie Koln are playing in Germany or Europe.
The EuroCup side sent a sell-out crowd at the EnergyDome home happy after a commanding 80-64 win over Artland Dragons.
The win moved RheinEnergie up to fourth in the Bundesliga table.
"The guys were tactically excellent and very strong on defence," admitted Obradovic.
"That was one of our best games to date and I'm very happy with this win."
From the floor, RheinEnergie shot 47.3% to 41.5% for Artland. The hosts also grabbed 40 rebounds to 25 for Artland. And they did it without one of their best players, forward Glen McGowan.
Before tip-off, McGowan received the Iceline basket of the month award a shot against Bonn in December and his club then showed their depth.
oln are top of Group J in the EuroCup and within touching distance of a place in the quarter-finals - they face Vertical Vision Cantu this week.
They had an inconsistent start in Germany but have come together under Obradovic and are now seen as one of the only sides capable of giving runaway leaders ALBA Berlin a run for their money in the play-offs.
Saturday's win, their seventh in the last nine league outings, saw Michael Hakim Jordan and Immanuel McElroy each pour in 19 points.
Obradovic was very impressed with Jordan, who also had six assists.
"I've got to pick him out today for the way he controlled our game well and how he was always able to pick out his fellow players," said Obradovic.
Bamberg, who are coached by Germany national team coach Dirk Bauermann, remain the closest challengers to league leaders ALBA thanks to a 72-63 win over Giessen 46ers.
ALBA remain on top of the pile after beating Bayer Giants Leverkusen 95-89.
Third placed EWE Baskets Oldenburg recorded thier 13th win of the season with a 94-85 triumph over Bundesliga newcomers Sellbytel Baskets Nurnberg, who remain just one win above the bottom two.
Elsewhere, BS|Energy Braunschweig remain bottom after losing 91-83 to EnBW Ludwigsburg.
