Aleksandar Nadjfeji scored 22 points in just 22 minutes as RheinEnergie Köln booked their place in the last eight of the EuroCup with a 95-70 defeat of Pallacanestro Cantu.

The Germans led from start to finish as Janar Talts scored 13 points, Nikola Vucurovic 11 and Marcin Gortat 10.

All but one of Sasa Obradovic's 11 players got into the scoring column, including veteran German international Ademola Okulaja, who scored eight points and dished out five assists in his first EuroCup game of the season.

RheinEnergie’s record in Group J now reads 4-1 and they share top spot with Maroussi Honda, who beat Dynamo Moscow Region 62-57 to join RheinEnergie in the Quarter-Final Play-Offs.

Kebu Stewart's 24 points and 10 rebounds for Cantu ultimately proved futile while Phill Jones added 11 points and Davide Lamma 10.

The Italians trailed 13-7 midway through the first quarter. But the Germans caught fire and went on a 13-4 run to close the period with a 26-11 advantage.

Obradovic's team kept up the pressure and pushed the lead to 20 points - 45-25 - after Guido Gruenheid buried his second consecutive three-pointer.

Cantu scored eight straight but RheinEnergie led 50-35 at the break.

Jones hit a three-pointer with 7:43 left in the third to cut the deficit to 12 points - 55-43. But that's as close as the Italians would come the rest of the night.

RheinEnergie were ahead 74-50 after three periods. And Cantu could cut it no closer than 19 in the fourth.

RheinEnergie’s Michael Jordan said afterwards: “It was a total win. Tonight we came out hot and we were tough to beat.”
