Michael Hakim Jordan and Aleksandar Nadjfeji each scored 20 points as RheinEnergie Koln proved too hot for Dynamo Moscow Region with an 85-79 victory, keeping the Germans atop Group J of the FIBA EuroCup.

Despite temperatures of minus-30 degrees in the Russian capital, Sasa Obradovic's RheinEnergie side were on fire, hitting 58% of their shots and out-rebounding Moscow 33-24.

Köln are now 3-1 in the group while Moscow Region are win-less in four contests.

Leading the way was Philadelphia native Jordan, playing his first EuroCup game for Köln since joining them after Johannes Strasser went down with knee surgery.

Jordan scored nine points in the fourth quarter and dished out a game-high six assists, playing in place of Glen McGowan. Immanuel McElroy added 15 points and Marcin Gortat had 14 points for the Germans.

Stevin Smith and Ivan Zoroski paced Dynamo Moscow Region with 17 apiece while Sam Hoskin added 13. Zoroski and Hoskin were key in keeping the Russians in the game as they came off the bench to out-score the other four starters.

Köln used an 11-2 run to open a 15-6 gap early. The lead ballooned to 23-11 late in the quarter before Moscow closed to 25-17 after one.

Nikola Vucurovic's three-pointer midway through the second made it 39-24.

But Zoroski's three-point play capped a 10-2 surge to get back into the game 41-34. It was 50-41 going into the locker-room.

RheinEnergie pushed the advantage back up to 15 points - 62-47 - on Gortat's jumper midway through the third. But Dusan Bocevski's three-pointer at the buzzer made it 70-61 after three periods.

Zoroski's three-pointer early pulled the Russians to within 70-66. But Nadjfeji's free throws made it 78-68 with less than three minutes remaining.

The Russians weren't done though. Smith and Zoroski each hit treys and Zoroski's lay-up with 53 seconds remaining capped a 10-3 run to creep to within 81-78.

But it was too much as Jordan made a lay-up with 29 seconds and drained two free throws with 12 seconds to ice the victory.
