Serbia & Montenegro turned in a wonderful second-half performance to see off Spain and claim the U18 European Championship Women title in Budapest.

Trailing 30-27 at the interval, the Serbo-Montenegrins roared back to seal a 66-52 victory.

The key run came in the third quarter when Zeljko Vukicevic's players transformed a 38-33 deficit into a 45-38 advantage.

Spain were kept at arm's length thereafter as Serbia & Montenegro cruised home.

Centre Zorica Mitov led the winners with 21 points and seven rebounds while guard Miljana Musovic contributed 18 and four.

Silvia Dominguez was Spain's top scorer with 15 points.
