|Horakova averaged 21 minutes per game in the EuroLeague Women last season with Fenerbahce but saw her playing time dramatically reduced at UMMC|
The Czech Republic international has just completed a move to the Slovak club for the remainder of the season as she looks to start playing big minutes again.
The 32-year-old's season got off on the wrong foot at UMMC Ekaterinburg, whom she joined after spending last year with Fenerbahce, because of a metatarsal injury.
"After the healing (of the injury), I had only a minimal opportunity (to play) and therefore my desire to leave grew more and more," Horakova said on the Good Angels website.
"For me, what is most important is that I can play."
Good Angels and UMMC have been able to make big deals work in the past.
Zuzana Zirková left the Kosice club for Ekaterinburg at this time last season when UMMC needed to bolster their backcourt.
"The acquisition is to some extent the work of chance, but on the other hand, it's mainly due to special relationships with agents and representatives of the Russian club UMMC Ekaterinburg, where Hana played this season," Good Angels general manager Daniel Jendrichovský said.
"After the departure of Bernadett Nemeth (to UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron), we found that we lacked a player at this (point guard) position with experience.
"I never imagined that we would make up for this shortage this way."
Zirkova is now back at Kosice but has been hurt all season, though she may return by the end of the campaign.
She and Horakova are good friends from their days at Brno in the Czech Republic.
"The presence of Zuzana in the team," Horakova said, "made my final decision to come here easier."
Good Angels are 7-5 and in third place in EuroLeague Women Group C going into their game against Montpellier, who are fifth at 6-6.
Rivas Ecopolis are also 7-5 but in fourth place in Group C.
